Sad State of Social Media Trolls

I’ve written about trolls before, not the ones hiding under bridges I mean internet trolls, but things have just got out of hand.  The trolls aren’t really just trolls anymore; they are just vile idiots who are using the internet to spread their hate of the world, or more likely the hate of themselves.  But it is not dark hidden corners that these trolls live, social media is being overrun with the pesky critters.

Fat Kids......A Holiday Thought of Today!

After returning from a lovely seven day trip to Menorca, lounging in the sunshine, snorkelling in bays and eating too much food I have noticed a very bad thing happening to the English that I hadn't really thought about or noticed. Fat Kids.

Reviewing has it's perks.......

I wrote a very good review yesterday, that went live last night (http://gigglepics.co.uk/the-courtesans-genius-track-review/), now I don't like to blow my own but I thought it was one of my better reviews. The review if you have been very rude and not read it above is for an all female alternative band from London. The beautiful ladies of this band really liked my review, which for me is enough and they gave me a big thanks. I do give bad reviews sometimes, but I give constructive feedback. So when I give a good review and am thanked, I do think well it has nothing to do with me, it is all your work, all I had to do is sit and listen to it a few times (in this case a lot) and then stick some words on a page that make sense.

Look Into My Eyes

It is all go at the moment, the music bookings for The Vaults in Faversham are heating up with requests coming in left, right and centre. Only three more slots to fill though, so some choices need to be made.  With Hop Festival 2014 done for me, for now until the actual weekend of the festival (in theory) I thought my time would be more relaxed, who was I kidding I just seem to be more busy. My work at GIGglePics is going well, and still love working with the team over there.  More book projects hitting my mind, and now have three projects bouncing around.  The debut has been delayed due to other work but it is still coming.

What's Been Going On

Like normal I am one of the worst people for keeping a blog up to date, this is a personal blog so not really the end of the world.  I thought it was about time I wrote something and what better to just give you an update of what is going in the world of me, an aspiring writer and local music business guy.
My entertainment blog Genius Babble is now closed and is now just a booking agency so have cut some work out of my schedule which was getting so bad I was working at all hours of the day.  This has mostly just given me more time to write reviews over at GIGglepics.co.uk, a great local music site that has interviews and reviews of live shows and albums, EP's and just single tracks.

Walking in the Wild

Enjoying my Sunday evening with Doctor Who series seven and a cup of tea, I thought it was better time than any other to write a blog of some kind.  For anyone who stumbles upon my site will see that I don't write enough blogs, I have written about being a useless blogger before.

Rather It Would Be Raining

I find myself as is the norm stuck in the day job looking out of my large window wishing I was rather outside than being here in the greyness of the office. I always think this when it is sunny and I'm not rushed off my feet. If it is raining and grey out I feel much better when at work, the opposite of when I am home.

Short Story - Journey to Fara

This short story was entered into a competition last year but sadly got no where, it was my first competition I had ever entered and an early piece of writing from myself.  Now it has had the time to not be classed in the comp (as per some odd regulations) I decided to share this story.  It is a short based around a much bigger world that is a project of mine that will take a while to complete.  Hope you like it.

Trolling Knobs - A disgrace to Humanity

If like me you listen to the Weird.co.uk then you will know of the story of the guys and girls who are working on the Oculus Rift are getting death threats because they sold the company to the dreaded Facebook for $2million.  Now I say the dreaded Facebook because I hate Facebook like many people do and also like those many people I am still on it and still use it, just not the extreme that some people do.

Getting Too Old for This Shit

In the great and memorable words of Sergeant Murtaugh played by the fantastic Danny Glover in the lethal weapon series of films, “I’m getting too old for this shit!”.

Facebook Couldn’t Do It Justice

For the ten year anniversary of Facebook they let you make a movie of your time with them, well, I say make they would make for you.  I decided after the terrible music and randomly picked pictures that my life was a little bit more EPIC than that, so I did this!

Now Tell Me, Who Are You?

pa5X7gHFor too long this women’s name keep popping up on my radar. I read quite a bit of media, from papers, to online news, mainly the Huffington Post and Sky News and once again today this woman's name has propped up.

My Favourite Six – Podcasts that is

podcast-logo-bcI have never written about what I listen too unless I am reviewing an album for Genius Babble, so I thought why not write about other things I listen too. My biggest and quite new thing is podcasts.

Boredom, the Problem of Many

pg44-boredom-gettyBoredom is something I have touched on in the past but as I changed my blog and decided to discard all my old words I can happily touch on it once again without people going “Oh, not all this rubbish gain”.

Celebration of Life – Just Get’s a Little More Pointless

The day has rolled round again when another number is added to my age and everyone gives you more cards and a few much liked gifts. But it becomes a little less exciting the older you get.

Filmography – A Life by Film

Following on from the film theme of my last blog, you may see a pattern emerging, but my next choice of words for the blog will be on something totally random I’m sure. Now you may think this is films I have been in, sadly no, I am not the new George Clooney or Chris Hemsworth but more correctly this is my favourite films of all time through my life. So this is my life of Film.

Movie Catch Up

I thought it was about time I started actually watching the films that have been sitting and festering in my Netflix watch list for basically ever, and when I say ever I mean when I started my account last year.

Getting All Political

I forgot to take my kindle to work with me today, which left me quite stuck when it came to my lunch break. Instead of carrying on with the aftermath of the Zombie Apocalypse that is World War Z, I found myself at a path of eating and starring into nothingness. So to save me looking like my brain had literally shut down I opening up the internet and went to check out what is going on in the world courtesy of the BBC news website. Here I read a story that for once wasn’t a bad thing, well not for me anyway, or for all the poor people who have suffered in Brazil due to flooding or the few people in the UK that went paddling in a storm (that comment may bring on some hate). The story in question was one about prison sentences, where life will mean life.
